Act 2:42
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
God is our Source; there is nothing we need that His divine power has not made available for us. Yet, a double-minded believer would not be able to receive of His provisions (James 1:8). This is because it takes consistency in seeking God, knowing His will and walking in obedience, for an unceasing flow of His blessing to be sustained.
Our scriptural text today highlights the disposition of the believers in the early Church; they continued steadfastly in what they had been taught from the Word of God. Little wonder, they grew and multiplied greatly (Acts 2:47). Spiritual growth occurs with successive obedience; this means you can measure your rate of growth by your consistency in obeying God’s Word. Glory to God!
You can grow faster in your spiritual life by putting in place systems that would help you attend to and obey God’s Word continuously. Start today by putting into practice all that you have been taught by God’s Spirit through His Word and walk in total obedience to His word.
