WORK BEFORE PLEASURE

Scriptural Text: Ecclesiasties 5:12
The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep. ”

Our opening text today emphasizes the priority of work over pleasure, and the satisfaction that comes from labouring aright.

A diligent man pours his energy into his work and thereafter sleeps with satisfaction, having achieved his goals. This is instructive.

Many fail today because they fail to prioritize work over pleasure. Pleasure ought to be used as a reward for work done or progress achieved,

and not as an end in itself. Whereas, perpetual indulgence will only weaken your soul and cause you to experience losses.

Remember, failure and poverty do not honour the Lord. Therefore, you must be willing to work hard and avoid making excuses on your job, knowing that God wants you to be diligent and productive.

Father in the name of Jesus, as I go about my duty today, help me to be diligent in prioritizing my work over pleasure, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION - SUDAN
Sudanese are mainly Muslims. The nation is yet to recover from physical damage from bombing, fire, and poverty caused by wars. There is a strong need for the training of church leaders in the nation.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the outpour of your Spirit upon the nation Sudan, and that the door of the Gospel may be opened in the land, leading to mass salvation of souls, in the name of Jesus.name of Jesus.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, cause men who fear you to rise into prominent positions and to use their influence in opening doors for the spread of the Gospel in that nation, in Jesus' Name.

🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( Psalms 122-6 )(Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH:
Father in the name of Jesus, let the spirit of love and unity flourish in the Body of Christ today, that we may stand in one force to glorify your name, in Jesus' name.

💒PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for more doors of the Gospel to be opened unto us in various cities, nations and continents, in Jesus name.

WORK BEFORE PLEASURE
Ecclesiasties 5:12

Our opening text today emphasizes the priority of work over pleasure, and the satisfaction that comes from labouring aright. A diligent man pours his energy into his work and thereafter sleeps with satisfaction, having achieved his goals. This is instructive.
Many fail today because they fail to prioritize work over pleasure. Pleasure ought to be used as a reward for work done or progress achieved, and not as an end in itself. Whereas, perpetual indulgence will only weaken your soul and cause you to experience losses.

SPEAK IN FAITH
Scriptural Text: 1 Samuel 17:45
“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied._
in 1 Samuel 17:42-44, Goliath had presented himself against the army of Israel with his imposing size, threats and battle weapons, and no one dared to challenge Him. However, in our opening Scripture, David refused to see his own physical inadequacy before Goliath, who apart from being a giant, also came well equipped for the battle.
David recognized that the battle was not his, but the Lord's, and so he began to SEE the defeat of Goliath and began to DECLARE it, challenging him in the name of the Lord. With this momentum that had welled up in him, he ran towards Goliath and delivered the sling shot that brought the giant down.
This year, refuse to consider the enormity of your situation or to take its threats to heart. Do not allow fear gain access to your heart to kill your momentum.
Rather, see with the eyes of faith what God can do and what He has promised. Then, declare in line what He has said, believing in your heart, knowing that the battle is the Lord’s. When you align with God in faith this way, you will always have the victory. Glory to God!

Father in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to esteem and consider your Word above any challenge, threat or limitation. Help me to live and act in faith always, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION - SPAIN
The Muslim population is rapidly growing. Drug addiction is a stain on Spain, which rates as one of Europe's spot for heroin and cocaine addiction. This in turn is a major contributing factor in the AIDS epidemic and the crime rate in the nation. Young people need the Gospel, having given themselves over to postmodern materialism and hedonism.
Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for an outpour of Your spirit upon the land, that many will encounter Christ and be saved, in the name of Jesus.
Prayer for the leaders:
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will cause passionate believers to rise into positions of authority, and to use their influence to encourage the spread of the Gospel in the nation, in Jesus name.
🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( Psalms 122-6 )(Ps 122:6)

Father in the name of Jesus, we come against erroneous doctrines that is spreading and causing hate and disunity in the body of Christ, in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that as we share the word to the unsaved, that these words will not be stolen from their hearts but, will bring about the salvation and restoration of their souls in Jesus name.
