 BE KINGDOM MINDED

2Chronicles 24:4 – “And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the LORD.”

Certain thought patterns predispose one to be blessed and empowered by God. Look at what our opening scripture says about Joash. He was minded to repair the house of the Lord. The same was the thinking of David who sought to put the Ark of the Covenant in a better place than his own palace (1Chron. 28:2). Surely, these men were trained to give honour to God by building Him a house.

We may have churches around the world today, but are they in a state that befit the name of God? Are they filled with people and well-funded to spread the Good News of the Kingdom? Are the ministers comfortable enough to focus on the work of the Gospel or have they been neglected and left vulnerable to mockers? What comes to mind when you think about the House of the Lord?

No matter what lofty goals you have set for yourself this year, you have not done well if you fail to factor the House of God into your budget. Instead, strategize on how you would add souls and financial resources to the Church so that the Gospel may prosper and righteousness prevail on the earth. This is the will of God for you. Halleluyah.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be Kingdom-minded and sold out to the course of the Gospel, bringing glory and honour to your name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOUTH AFRICA
The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need of reconcilation among all races. Race and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of Justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for a mighty move of your Spirit upon this land, that many will encounter Christ and hold unto him, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name Jesus, we pray for all unsaved officials within the government of this land, we ask that you will show them your mercy and salvation, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of division and rancour seeking to turn church leaders against one another. We declare that the will of God concerning the unity of the Church be done and established in the church today, in the name of Jesus!

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will give us a harvest of souls in our cities. Let the unsaved realize the futility of a life without Christ and return to you, in Jesus name.
