 THE POWER OF YOUR OFFERING

2 Chronicles 1:6-7 – “And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, ask what I shall give thee.”

An offering is substance wrapped with praise and thanksgiving (2Chron. 32:2). By substance, we mean something that has value to you.

Offerings give you access to God; an opportunity to make your request known unto Him. This is clearly seen from today’s scriptural text where Solomon offered to God a sacrifice and set Himself up for an encounter.

More so, in giving an offering to God, it is important to give what is commensurate with what He has blessed you with. Jesus adjudged the widow who gave two mites to have given the best offering In Mark 12:43-44, because she gave much though she had little. Thus we see that the value of an offering before God is measured in terms of what you give over what you have, not just how much you give. Halleluyah!

Also, the reward of an offering is not just an access to God, it is wealth. This explains why God gave Solomon wealth even though he only asked for wisdom (2Chron. 1:8-12). Thus, take your offering system seriously this season, knowing that your wealth is tied to it. You would only reap what you have sown.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your wisdom and the privilege to give unto you. Let my offering be acceptable in your sight today in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOMALIA
77% of it’s population is unreached with the Gospel of Christ with Islam as the major religion. An infant Somali church is emerging amid great tribulation. Somali Christians are despised and heavily persecuted, even martyred but are also growing in faith and in vision.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the church Somalia, that it will become a force in the nation amidst all the persecution it faces, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name Jesus, we ask that you will cause the laws of the government will favour the spread of the Gospel of Christ in the nation, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray against erroneous doctrines in the church that is causing division among her members, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for purchasing salvation for us on the cross of Calvary through the death, burial and resurrection of your son, we pray that many will discover this love and surrender to your lordship in their lives.
