 THE MULTIPLIER EFFECT

Proverbs 3:9-10 – “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

As a young child, I always wondered how one grain of maize seed planted in the soil ends up becoming a full cob of maize. It works like magic, isn’t it? God honours the efforts of the farmer who spends time to till his soil and plant his seeds. In return, he gets several multiples of what he has sown.

In a similar fashion, honour is a multiplier. Those who sow honour enjoy its multiplier effect just as we see in our scriptural text today. The act of obedience towards honouring God with your substance attracts the blessing of multiplication and your storehouses receive fullness and overflow. Glory to God!

When you have honour in your life, the blessing of God in your hands will multiply, because no man having yielded to the voice of God ends up with nothing. In fact, Jesus Christ stated that such a believer would receive a hundred fold in this life (Luke 18:29-30). That is multiplication! Do you want it?

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOMALIA
77% of it’s population is unreached with the Gospel of Christ with Islam as the major religion. An infant Somali church is emerging amid great tribulation. Somali Christians are despised and heavily persecuted, even martyred but are also growing in faith and in vision.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that believers in the nation will occupy places of authority, thus leading to a faster and easier spread of the Gospel, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name Jesus, we pray that the leaders will be willing to sacrifice personal comfort and convenience in other to render top-notch services, and do the will of God in the discharge of their duties, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of division and rancour seeking to turn church leaders against one another. We declare that the will of God concerning the unity of the Church be done and established in the church today, in the name of Jesus!

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the privilege to labour together with you and the angels in the Kingdom through our prayers. We ask for a massive harvest of souls in our cities, in Jesus name.
