APPROACH WITH A HUMBLE HEART

2Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Being humble, for some people, brings to mind a form of weakness. If someone practices humility, he is thought to be weak and probably having nothing to offer, yet this is not God’s perspective on the subject. Our opening text shows us how God relates with humility: a pre-requisite for healing and revival.

Humbling yourself before the Lord is an acknowledgement of His sovereignty and the expression of your dependence on Him. It is recognizing that His ways are higher than yours, renouncing your rebellion against His ways, submitting to His will, and trusting in His plan for your life. Thus, practicing humility involves recognizing your insufficiency and your need for God’s grace and mercy.

Therefore, as you step out today, do so with the realization that your success, healing, preservation, and next level are dependent on your connection to God, so do not allow anything come in between you and the Lord. It is from this heart of dependency that true repentance, unbroken fellowship and revival are sustained in your life and walk with God. Glory to God!

Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that as we go for outreaches, let our words be accompanied with miracles, signs, and wonders, leading to the salvation of many souls, in Jesus’ name.
