In our walk with God, it is important to press onto our next level. The Apostle Paul, in our opening text today, speaks of how he presses towards the mark, implying a deliberate and persistent effort to take the next step at all cost in order to fulfill purpose.
PREPARE FOR EXPANSION
God’s desire is for you to experience abundance and growth in every area of your life, and it is wisdom to prepare for that growth or expansion. Just as we see in our opening text, it is your diligent response to God’s Word, as you position yourself for the fulfillment of His promises.
DEVELOP A STRONG WORK CULTURE
Noah’s Ark was not built by God, Noah did; neither did God train David’s mighty men for battle, David did. These men noticed that God had given them grace to accomplish a thing, then they put in all their time, energy and resources into making it happen.
BE PROPELLED BY YOUR GOALS
Goals are powerful activators of momentum. They are resolute decisions and targets that help guide our choices and control our responses. In the absence of goals, weak and wrong choices which procure defeat, become the norm. This is because without goals, your decisions would be impulsive and not purposeful.
ENJOY SUPERNATURAL HELP
When you seem boxed in or fast running out of options, cry unto the Lord, and commune with the Holy Spirit who is the Master Strategist. For every situation, He has a strategy to give you victory
COMMISSIONED WITH POWER
An ambassador is never received in his own name, but in the name of the one who sent him. He is esteemed and revered based on the power wielded by his country and not on his own personal appearance.
RELEASE A SACRIFICE
Giving sacrificially is another important way to gain momentum in your life. It is possible to give and not give sacrificially, and both do not carry the same weight before God. To sacrifice is to offer something that is of value to you unto God. It is a dimension of giving that has the ability to multiply the work of the blessing in your life.
