BE BOLD
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear can be a powerful inhibitor. It whispers doubts, paralyzes with uncertainties, and keeps a person from stepping outside his or her comfort zones. Yet, the Bible shows us examples of courageous believers who dared to be bold in the face of adversity. From David confronting Goliath (1 Samuel 17) to Esther risking her life to save her people (Esther 4) etc. These great examples of faith inspire us to push past our anxieties and embrace the power God has placed within us.
Being bold does not mean being reckless. It is trusting in God’s guidance and taking action aligned with His will, even in the face of uncertainty. Perhaps you feel called to share your faith with someone who seems unreceptive, or a situation demands that you stand up for what is right. Remember, courage is not the absence of fear; it is the willingness to act in spite of it, knowing that God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Today, check yourself to see where God might be calling you to be bold. Is there a conversation you have been avoiding or a step you have been hesitant to take? Pray for courage and boldness to do what the Spirit of God is leading you to do. Remember, with God by your side, you possess the strength to overcome fear and function in the spirit of boldness to do just what He says in every situation. Hallelujah!
