CULTIVATE GOOD JUDGMENT

Proverbs 14:15 (NIV)
“The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.”

A wise man once said, ‘Decision is destiny’. In other words, each time you make a decision, you choose or cement your destiny. Make a wrong decision and you are on your way to a wrong destination. Hence, the value of good judgement in decision making.

Good judgment, an important element of prudence, is the ability to think carefully about your choices, considering the possible outcomes and consequences before making a decision. Our opening text today tells us that a prudent man will carefully consider his steps or actions, which implies that instead of believing everything we hear or acting impulsively, prudence requires that we weigh the choices before us, in order to make decisions that honour God and benefit ourselves and others.

The good news is that when you seek God’s guidance and wisdom, you will make choices that align with His will and lead to positive outcomes. So, make it a practice to carefully consider your steps, asking the Holy Spirit for His guidance always. That way, you can be sure to take steps that honour God and lead you closer to your glorious destiny in Christ.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to cultivate a prudent heart that prioritizes your honour in all that I do, in Jesus’ name. Amen

PRAYER FOR A NATION- SWITZERLAND
Not long ago, almost every person in Switzerland would have been a Christian. Today, around one in seven considers himself non-religious. Muslims account for as much as 6% with many other religions appearing and growing rapidly. Most Swiss Christians are equipped to handle these changes.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the Christians in this nation, that they will live exemplary lives that honour God and draws the unsaved to Christ, in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will raise men and women after your heart into positions of authority in the name, who will enforce your will in the nation, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will perfect us in love as directed by your Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that your word will grow mightily and prevail, leading to a mass harvest of souls and revival in our city and environs, in Jesus’ name.
