HONOUR OTHERS BY DEFAULT

Romans 12:10
“ Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another”

In a world that often prioritizes individual success and self-promotion, the idea of preferring one another in honour may sound absurd or unpopular, yet it is God’s will for us. While it is important to develop a good sense of self-worth and esteem, our opening scripture tells us to also maintain a healthy affection towards others, seeking to honour those that God has placed in our lives.

Many instances of strife, jealousy, envy, bitterness etc. arise because we do not have the right perspective towards relating with one another in honour. If we set our minds to put our spouses, friends, colleagues etc. before ourselves, by treating them how we would like to be treated, we would experience greater peace.

Therefore, as you step out today, heed the call to look beyond yourself to see the inherent worth and beauty in every person you will encounter, extending grace and kindness, even to those who may seem undeserving. This is the will of God for you today.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to maintain an attitude of honour towards the people you have placed in my life, thereby showing them the heart of Christ, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-SYRIA
45% of its population are unreached with the gospel. The largest religion is Islam and although the Syrian Christian minorities enjoy freedom and stability, finding housing and employment is increasingly challenging due to discrimination.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ will shine in the hearts of the unsaved souls in this nation, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for the leaders:
Dear Father, we ask that you will give the leaders of the nation divine wisdom to promote righteousness, equity and justice, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that the members of the body of Christ will be strengthened with might by your Spirit in their inner man to know the love of Christ and walk in it, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Dear Father, we pray for every unsaved soul in our city, that you will cause them to see the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, and turn from their wicked ways into the redemption that Christ has purchased for them, in Jesus Name.
