INTERCEDE FOR A REVIVAL

Ezekiel 22:30
“ And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

Often time, when the Lord intends to initiate a change or bring about a revival, he releases a burden in the heart of a person or a people, which manifests in a sudden desire to separate oneself and pray. Sadly, as we see in our opening text, many believers fail to respond to this urgent call to prayer. How sad!

A wise man once said, prayer moves the hand that moves the Universe. In other words, in prayer, we can facilitate the move of God’s Spirit to cause a change in and around us. This is also true for a revival. The Lord will seek out faithful believers who will stand in the gap to cry for a revival in a place, so that as they sow the seed of intercession, He can move to bring it to pass. (Eze. 22:30)

Therefore, pay attention to the stirring of the Holy Ghost in your heart this season. Have you been burdened with a desire to pray for an unsaved relative? Is there a desire for intercession for your nation that you have been suppressing? Take your place in intercession and be faithful in calling unto the Lord for a change in that person or situation, and in due time, the Spirit of God will move to bring about a revival according to the will of God.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be faithful in the place of intercession daily, so that I may be your partner in facilitating a revival in my sphere, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TURKEY
Since up to 98 percent of the population are Muslims, Christians are a minority religion in Turkey. During the ottoman period, a system of tax was implemented taking 50 percent of earnings from non-Muslims as opposed to a small amount from Muslims. This resulted in a large number of peasants converting their faith to Islam.

Prayer for the nation:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for a deep conviction of sin, spiritual brokenness and a holy Fear of God to rest upon the people of this nation, that we may experience a mass salvation of souls, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will raise up righteous leaders in the government of this land, who will fear you and submit totally to your Spirit, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, cause the spirit of oneness and unity to rest upon believers in the Body of Christ today, that we may live in unity and harmony, fulfilling your purpose, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father, we ask for a genuine burden of intercession to rest upon the church, so that we may passionately intercede to see the lost saved in our city and environs, in the name of Jesus.
