PRAYER BIRTHS REVIVAL

2 Chronicles 7:14
“ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The place of prayer in facilitating revival cannot be over-emphasized. Whether it be a personal revival, city-wide or continental revival, when we make a persistent and passionate plea unto God for revival, we are not just asking for a temporary experience, we are inviting Him to transform our lives and our world with his presence and power.

Although the energizing of the Holy Ghost is very crucial in every revival, there must also be a personal decision or resolve for revival to occur. In fact, there will be no revival without a sustained prayer life. Our opening scripture today show us that when we humble ourselves in the place of prayer, and call unto God in passionate appeal, He will hear us, heal our backsliding and our land. What an assurance!

Therefore, we must pray for revival in utmost sincerity and humility, first in our own lives, in the lives of others, and then in our city, nation, and the world at large. Remember that when we pray expectantly and persistently, believing that God hears and answers our prayers, He hears us and pours out His Spirit to cause a change in our lives. Hallelujah!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to maintain a consistent prayer life, partnering with you to bring about a revival in my life and environ daily, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TURKEY
Since up to 98 percent of the population are Muslims, Christians are a minority religion in Turkey. During the ottoman period, a system of tax was implemented taking 50 percent of earnings from non-Muslims as opposed to a small amount from Muslims. This resulted in a large number of peasants converting their faith to Islam.

Prayer for the nation:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that a deep hunger to know you will rest upon the people of the Land, causing them to repent and completely turn to you in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the leaders:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will raise up righteous leaders in the government of this land, leaders who fear you and submit totally to your spirit in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will release amongst our churches, a loving unity and deep harmony amongst all believers.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for strength to rest upon all missionaries, that they will step out daily with courage to proclaim your Word, in Jesus Name.
