In our world today, there is a surge in the number of voices advocating individualism and self-sufficiency. These encourage us to follow our own desires and pursue whatever seems right in our own eyes. The focus of motivation has gradually shifted from what pleases God, to what suits an individual.
To do what is right in your own eyes is to do what you like when you like, disregarding the instructions of God. It is to do according as you have proposed in your heart without consideration for the will of God. However, in our opening text today, we are cautioned not to do whatever seems right in our own eyes, but to obey the commandments and statutes of God.
As believers, we are called to live according to God’s standards rather than our own. This will require making difficult choices and taking a stand against the prevailing or popular opinion, demonstrating our commitment to honour God above all else. This is what guarantees God’s blessing on your life, home, business etc.
The good news is that the Lord Himself has made provision by His Spirit, working in us the desire to do His Word (Phil. 2:13). Therefore, as you take a stand for the truth of God’s Word, His Spirit will be on hand to strengthen you to do His will without compromise.

🙏 DAILY PRAYER GUIDE
Father in the name of Jesus, help me to align my heart with your Word and your will in the name of Jesus.
🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NEW CALEDONIA
Like most indigenous peoples, the cultural traditions of the Kanak people were inspired by animistic beliefs, but Christianity is now their predominant faith. The majority of New Caledonians are Catholics but both the Protestant and Pentecostal churches are well established locally.
1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon the churches in New Caledonia and cause them to experience a revival in the name of Jesus.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, grant unto the leaders of the nation the courage to stand for the truth, and to promote righteousness, equity, and justice in Jesus Name.
🕍PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.
💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we come against every strategy of hell to cause divisions in the Church, and we declare that the church of Jesus Christ will stand firm in the unity of the faith.
☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, cause your Word that we preach to prosper in this city, and let many be turned to you in Jesus Name.
