📖 Scriptural Text:
(Genesis 1:3-5 KJV)
“ and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.”.”
📝 Prioritizing is essential if you must succeed this year. If you do not have a value system, everything will appear the same to you. You must understand the worth of persons and the significance of things in your life. The poor have an equality mindset, which is flawed. You cannot treat your master in the same manner as your friends, nor can you treat your mentor in the same manner as your protégé.
Take a cue from God in our opening verse. His desire was to create the world for man and let the man have dominion. However, we can see that He did not just bring man into the scene, as this would have disrupted the order. Instead, he brooded (set his priorities right) and created light first, because He knew, man could not work without light. Then, he proceeded to create systems for man’s sustenance on the earth, one day at a time.
Where are you in your life? If you are on the “first day”, do not compete with those on the “fourth day” in life. You are not competing with anyone so, do not rush to try to succeed. Instead, get your act together first, establish the proper priorities, goals, dreams, and vision and also practice adhering to your established priorities, in no time, your success will manifest. Hallelujah!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, lead me at every phase and stage of my life this year in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER FOR MALI 🇲🇱
Background: Mali has 60% of its populace unreached with the Gospel. Islam is the largest religion. The Church is taking root, however, the number of Christians has not increased enough to even keep pace with Mali’s rapid population growth.
We are praying for boldness, passion, and a burden for the unsaved to awaken in the churches and for a new wave of evangelism such as that happened in the 1980s.
Prayer for Leaders/nation: We are praying for divine guidance for the leadership of this nation when faced with fierce challenges and opportunities on the domestic and international fronts.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for allowing brotherly love to continue in the church.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that the Holy Spirit will guide the way and lead us to souls that are ripe and ready for harvest, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR JERUSALEM
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6).
