In our opening text, we see an admonition from Apostle Paul to Timothy, his protégé, on the need to commit to the study of God’s Word, so that he can become vast and grounded in the knowledge of truth. This shows us a secret to achieving and sustaining competence – through continual learning.

Learning is an ongoing process that should continue throughout our lives. In other words, we are expected to keep seeking new knowledge and skills, beyond what formal education provides. This requires fellowshipping with new information in order to stay up to date.

Considering the rapid rate of innovation all around us today, the introduction of new technologies means that there are newer and more trusted ways to get results from time to time. This requires anyone who intends to stay successful and competitive to be ahead of the curve in learning and technology adoption.

Thus, do not be satisfied with the status quo or become complacent because of your present advantage. Instead, continue to seek out knowledge and stay up to date in your line of work. This will enhance your problem-solving skills and position you to make informed decisions that will multiply your output.

Oh Lord, my God, help me to grow in my appetite for sound knowledge and truth in the name of Jesus.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NAURU
Having received the Gospel in the early 1900s, Nauruans are still quite religious (91.5% Christian). But, for many, their faith is works-based, with little understanding of the Gospel.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will pour out your spirit amongst the minority, that they will begin to receive salvation,in the name of Jesus!
2. Prayer for the leaders:  Father, we bring the leaders of this nation before you, grant them the wisdom to lead the people in righteousness and justice, in Jesus name.

🕍PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6) 
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen 

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you would take away from the church, unhealthy competition; and help us to follow you completely in all holiness and righteousness, in Jesus Name.
