THE VALUE OF A SOUL

Matthew 16:26
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

The human soul is the seat of our personality, thoughts, emotions, and sense of self. Our opening text today sheds light on its immeasurable value in comparison to the wealth of this world. And it is amazing to know that it is not something to be traded with earthly possessions, as there is nothing on earth that can be likened to it. How precious!

When we truly understand the true worth of a soul, our perspective shifts, and we can begin to see the people around us not as strangers, but as vessels of unimaginable potential, each one worthy of our love, compassion, and the life-changing Gospel of Christ. They are precious souls for which Christ died, His investments for which He paid the ultimate price.

Therefore, having this understanding, and knowing the danger of eternal separation from God in hell, it is our responsibility to stand in the gap for the salvation of the unsaved, striving to lead every soul within our reach to the light of the glorious Gospel. Through our faithfulness in intercession and soul winning, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, together we will restore many lost souls to Christ, and thus further expand the Kingdom of our God. Glory be to God!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be fervent in my intercessory and soulwinning life, partnering with your Spirit to lead many to salvation, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION-TANZANIA
Christianity is the largest religion in Tanzania, with a substantial Muslim minority. Current statistics on the relative sizes of various religions in Tanzania are limited because religious questions have been eliminated from government census reports since 1967. However, estimates published by the Pew Research Center in 2012 indicated that 61.4% of the population were Christian, 35.2% Muslim, 1.8% practiced traditional folk religions and 1.4% were unaffiliated.

Prayer for the nation:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the growth of Christianity in this nation, and we ask that those yet unsaved will come to know Jesus as the only way, truth and life, in Jesus Name.

Prayer for the leaders:

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for wisdom upon the government of this nation, that they will lead the nation in righteousness and holiness, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the leaders in the body of Christ will choose the path of humility and servanthood as they proclaim the name of Christ, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the souls that have been saved through all our channels of outreaches will be sanctified and preserved by the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus.
