SECURE THE HONOUR OF GOD
1 Samuel 2:30 – “but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”
The best way to reap honour in every area of your life is by honouring God. In our opening scripture today, we see how that God expressly makes it clear that He would honour those who do honour Him. That is an assurance that you can bank on! If you honour the LORD, He will honour you in return.
The honour of God is far superior and in fact incomparable with the honour of man. At best, a man can only give you money or some sort of recognition, but the honour of God comes with longevity and glory that money cannot buy, and of course riches and wealth.
Therefore, begin to honour God today by yielding to His instructions and giving yourself to Him in fellowship by prayer, worship and the study of the word. Then you must learn the art of giving to Him to activate the covenant of prosperity over your life (Prov. 3:9). Then you can be sure that He would bestow His honour upon your life and make you a wonder to many. Glory to God!

The legacy of apartheid continues to impact the nation despite progress in some areas, inequalities and injustices of the past continue to shape the future. There is still the need of reconcilation among all races. Race and violent crime rates are alarmingly high. The proliferation of illegal firearms, poverty, desperation, and lack of Justice fuels hopelessness and anarchy.
Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for grace upon the churches in South Africa, that they may remain a force for righteousness and justice in the land, and a voice for Truth the land, in Jesus name.
Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name Jesus, we ask for grace upon the leaders to make policies that supports the spread of the Gospel in the nation, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit will be the focus of the church, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you grant unto the unsaved in our nation, the grace to turn their backs on falsehood and its bondage, and to accept the light and life that Christ gives, in Jesus name.
