 RENEW YOUR DESIRE FOR GOD

Psalm 63:1
 “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is ”

Man was created to have unhindered fellowship with God. We were never designed to be apart from Him or to live without His Presence. Though sin and the things of this world constantly seek to draw our focus away from Him, it is important for us to consciously and deliberately seek after Him like David says in our opening scripture today. One important way to achieve this is through fasting.

Fasting is primarily a way of making spiritual investment or sacrifice for a spiritual gain. It involves voluntarily depriving oneself of food or any other regularly enjoyed benefit in order to focus on your spirit and turn your undivided attention to God.

When you fast, you remind yourself that though you need food and other forms of refreshments to live on the earth, you need God more that you would ever need food. By acknowledging through fasting that you need Him to live, you spark up a renewed desire for more of Him in your life. This is how to build momentum for a new level of walk with God. Halleluyah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SOUTH SUDAN
South Sudan is the world’s newest country. The nation was born in a great spirit of unity, happiness, and hope. Thank God for freedom from the long, painful domination by the north Sudan which is now mainly Arab and Muslim, while South Sudan is mainly Black and Christian.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that missionaries will arise from every part of this nation, to spread the Gospel to the unreached in the land, in Jesus name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for grace upon the leaders to be able to sacrifice personal comfort and convenience to lead people and unify the nation in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that as the church walk in oneness, that it will experience growth and increase in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that many more believers will have a revelation of witnessing daily as they go out and come in, in Jesus name.
