COMMISSIONED WITH POWER

Matthew 28:18
 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.

An ambassador is never received in his own name, but in the name of the one who sent him. He is esteemed and revered based on the power wielded by his country and not on his own personal appearance. Consider the statement of Christ Jesus in our text today. He says all power in heaven and in earth is with Him, and it is with such power He has sent you to stand for Him. Wow!

This is the understanding that makes you trample upon the devil and put all situations under control. It is the revelation that makes you see how that you can be such an effective witness for Christ, bringing down every stronghold of sin and helping others find the Light. Jesus Christ has commissioned you with power to be His witness on the earth. It would therefore be an error to wake up every day without the consciousness of the power backing you or the assignment for which you have been commissioned.

Therefore, when you open your mouth to preach the Gospel today, do so with utmost confidence. As you pray for a sick colleague or friend today, command the sickness to go with all boldness. As you hand out a tract leaflet today, do so with confidence. You are an ambassador for Christ and all His power has been deployed for your use. Today is the day to get results. Glory to God!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, as I step out today, help me to build confidence in your Word, and to speak your Word with boldness in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SRI LANKA
84% are unreached with the Gospel, while the largest religion is Buddhism. Sri Lanka has suffered much in the past generation from bloody civil wars, which caused many to emigrate, and over one million are displaced. Malnutrition, selective abortion, and child prostitution are on the rise in Sri Lanka.

Prayer for the nation:
Father in the name of Jesu, we break every hold of Buddhism in the land, so that many will accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for your wisdom to rest upon the leadership of the nation, and we pray that their hearts may be yielded to the counsel of your Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we bind every Satanic force against the church seeking to cause division within our ranks, in Jesus name

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we tear down every satanic veil that is hindering the people in our cities from receiving salvation, in Jesus name.
