DON’T CRY, PRAISE!
Acts 16:25-26″
At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God and the Prisoners heard them. And suddenly, there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s hands were loosed.”
The natural response to being rejected or being in pain is to cry out or struggle to find respite. When in tight situations, praising God might be the last thing that comes to mind, but in the case of Paul and Silas, their response did not correlate to their circumstance at all. They chose to pray and sing praises to the Lord. How amazing!
Our opening text today shows us the result of their surprising response; they were delivered from the prison. This underlines the truth that the power of God can be activated in our lives when we praise.
Praising the Lord in distress, and expressing gratitude for His faithfulness in times past brings Him on the scene, and activates His power in your direction. So the next time you find yourself under pressure, do not cave in, but buckle up and demonstrate your trust in the ability of God. Nothing is impossible to Him!

Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for an outpour of your Spirit upon this nation, that many will encounter the Lord Jesus and receive Him into their hearts.
Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that You will grant the leaders, the wisdom to make legislations that will support the spread of the Gospel in this land, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of disunity and discord in the church. Help us to work together in unity, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will bless our outreaches: that every week, more souls will be added to your kingdom, in Jesus name.
