ENDURE GOD’S CHASTENING
Hebrews 12:5
“And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:”
If we must walk with God and become more like Him, we must renew our minds and put off the works of the flesh. This is not a day’s job; it happens steadily as we fellowship more with His Word and seek to do His Will. Sometimes the Lord will chasten us when we deliberately live in disobedience to His instructions and refuse the call to change in certain areas of our lives. Our opening text today shows us how we must respond to the Lord’s chastening and rebuke; we must not despise it or give up.
No chastening is momentarily pleasant to the flesh (Heb. 12:11), but we must know that it is God’s loving tool to get us into line when we walk out of His will. God is after our restoration, not the destruction of our souls (Eze.36:24-27). He chastens us to keep us from destruction; His reproof is to train us up, not to cast us down. Glory to God!
Therefore, do not allow yourself to be drawn into guilt or withdrawal when God’s rebuke comes, either through the voice of His Spirit or through an authority figure. Instead, endure the reproof and be swift to amend your ways where God’s Word convicts you. Halleluyah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION -SINGAPORE
The majority of its population is Buddhist. Singaporean society is built on dedicated labour, discipline, and self-reliance but emphasizes on performance and wealth. Materialism has noticeably increased. Much of Singapore’s influence is now dependent on imported labour from poorer countries who are exploited.
Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that more missionaries will arise as agents of revival to this nation, whose work will bring salvation and respite to the exploited population in the land, in Jesus name.
Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, give unto the leaders of Singapore the courage to make policies that reverses the occurrence and impact of undue exploitation in the land, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, pray for the spirit of unity and oneness to rest on the church and every member of it, that we may fulfil the purpose of Christ with one mind, in Jesus name
PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that door of faith will be opened unto the unsaved in our cities and nation today, leading to a massive harvest of souls and testimonies, in Jesus name.
