GRATITUDE FORGIVES

Matthew 18:32-33″
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee?

In true gratitude, there is an element of forgiveness. We cannot claim to be truly grateful to God without expressing the same character that He expressed to us towards others. The servant in our opening text today was called ‘wicked’ because he failed in this regard. Have you been failing also?

If God has been merciful to you, you owe it to others to be merciful also. The true measure of how grateful you are about what God has done for you can be seen in your readiness to also lift the burdens of others , in such a way that they too can have something to be grateful for. Glory to God!

A heart that is truly grateful seeks to liberate others. Your thanksgiving to God would not be complete until you let go of hurts and offenses that you have harboured against others. Forgive others, even as your heavenly Father has forgiven you. Halleluyah!

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your mercy towards me today. Grant me the grace to show mercy to all that may have wronged me, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION – SEYCHELLES
Christianity is the largest religion in Seychelles, with Roman Catholicism being its largest denomination. However today, one can observe growth in Evangelical Protestant churches.

Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for a mighty revival to hit this land, that many will throw away every other kind of god, and hold on to Christ.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we for wisdom upon the leaders to know how to utilize the resources of the nation for the common good of the people, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of offense, bitterness, anger, and unforgivness in the church, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS/ REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the door of faith will be opened unto the unsaved in our cities, and nation, in Jesus name.
