REMEMBER THE FORGOTTEN

Psalm 9:18
“For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.”

The term forgotten in our opening scripture today is used in reference to the orphans, widows/widowers, aged, accused, rejected and all those who are not receiving the best treatment from the people God has placed in their lives.

Despite their disadvantage, the Bible shows us that such people would not always be forgotten. In other words, God has good plans for them that would cause their voices to be heard again (Jer. 29:11).

It is therefore important that you remember the forgotten around you. Do all that lies within your power to treat them with dignity. Stand up for them and defend them when you have the opportunity. Give to them what is due, and go the extra mile to provide more when it is in your power to do so. Consider how you would put smiles on the faces of the forgotten today, knowing that the Lord.

Startup Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, give me a heart of compassion towards the forgotten, that I may be your hand to touch and transform their lives, in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION -SIERRA LEONE
Over half of its population are Muslims. During the 20th century, Islam grew from 10% to over 60% of the population. The conflict in the nation in the past has left many traumatized: rape victims, victims from mutilation and maiming and former child soldiers.

Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for an outpour of your Spirit upon this land, that many will encounter the Lord Jesus and receive Him into their hearts.

Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we bind the spirit of corruption and thirst of power in this nation, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the church will grow to the fullness of the stature of Christ

PRAYER FOR SOULS & REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for financial supply and provision for missionaries around the world, in Jesus name
